Good morning from Geto Kogen.
Triple figures this morning.
We waited for snow. Sometimes not patiently. Opening was delayed and we got a bit worried.
But the last few days we have been rewarded with some truly ridiculous amounts of it.
The resort this morning is reporting, get this, 150cm of snowfall on the upper areas of the mountain. Not to mention the 1m at base. Their official snow depth has rocketed up to 260cm.
More snow is forecast, though it might be easing off come tomorrow.
I almost forgot to mention, Geto Kogen is open from today.
Official non-compacted snow depth (as reported by the ski area):
Top: 260cm
Base: 230cm
Planned operating lifts:
Number 1 Gondola
Number 1 pair lift
