New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 289cm
Posted on Sunday 6th January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
It is currently snowing lightly and the flakes are nice big bulky ones, and will be a pleasure to ski on this morning. So far there is 2cm of fresh snow build up on the ground in the village, and I would expect that to equate to 5-10cm at the top of the resort. Again we have valley cloud sitting low on the resort meaning that it is a bit misty, however this usually lifts as the morning rolls on. The slopes are in very good condition with the constant small top ups of snow we are getting regularly. Tomorrow more light snow is forecast with perhaps a bit of sun thrown into the mix.
