There has been 25cm of new snow in the village since the last report was posted on Sunday. Monday turned out to be a day with mild temperatures, sunshine and some amazing snow to ski with depths on the ski area itself up to 40cm. Today we have strong winds and cloudy conditions. The gusting winds mean that it is unlikely the Kitanomine Gondola will operate at all, and the low cloud will mean flat light at certain times. The good news is that there is plenty of fresh untracked powder that can be accessed from the operating lifts - all up it should be a very good day apart from the wind.

All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Furano. The 'new snowfall' number represents the amount of snow measured since the previous report. All opinions are those of the individual reporters. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
