Snowfall at base this season 505cm
Posted on Sunday 3rd March 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
It is a very nice Sunday morning here in Furano. At -6c it is a cool start to the day, but the sun is already shining down on the town strongly. Temperatures will go up to +2c by midday. The lower half of the mountain is currently experiencing spring conditions on slopes, and yesterday despite the new snow, things were very sticky below the halfway mark. The upper mountain snow is still pretty good. There is snow forecast again for later in the week so hopefully we can get back to some nice powder conditions.
