Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 21cm
Snowfall at base this season 238cm

Posted on Monday 3rd January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

The strong winds overnight have eased off and are now light to moderate in the ski village. There is 21cm of new snow around base level with quite a bit of body to it, so this will definitely help build up the base and cover some of the thinner patches on the Kitanomine side. Snow is falling moderately and is forecast to continue through the day. The resort has advised regular lift operations and times may change today due to wind and snow.
