It is snowing heavily and there is a whopping 31cm of fresh snow at town level.


The resort is advising Kitanomine Gondola is closed, and other lift operations may be affected by the weather.


Visibility is limited due to cloud and heavy precipitation. It is a mild start to the day with a temperature of -5c.


The snow is expected to continue through until evening.
