If you wondered why the Kitanomine lights were on all night it was because they were having an all night skiing event until 5am this morning which is part of the ski festival running this weekend in Kitanomine. There will be lots of fun events today and it attracts lots of local kids. Be sure to check it out.
It is a very still morning here in the Kitanomine resort area. There is snow falling from the sky but it is very very light and overnight it has accumulated to a 2cm dusting. There will be a bit more that that on the slopes but nothing major. The good news is this evening the resort is forecast to receive a moderate dump of new snow. There is still plenty of nice light powder all over the resort from yesterday - enjoy!
Kitanomine Zone open.
Furano Zone open.
