Snowfall at base this season 258cm

Posted on Wednesday 28th January 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Yesterdays warm temperatures and rain have long passed and we have received a topping up of 4cm of snow at village level and more snow is on the forecast for today. There are moderate winds whipping around right now and this has caused Kitanomine Gondola to be put on hold until the winds reduce. Temperatures are back to wintery norms, so wrap up well to keep the cold at bay. Expect firm pistes due to yesterdays melt and todays cold conditions.
