New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 254cm
Posted on Friday 23rd January 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
Snow started to fall early this morning and it is still snowing lightly with around 5cm of new snow reported in the village. Cloud is rolling down the resort and this combined with the falling snow means there is compromised visibility at the moment. Winds are expected to increased in the afternoon, so morning should be the best time to put in some turns given the fresh snow. Temperatures are pretty warm with the base sitting at -3c. Saturday and Sunday are looking good with the sun forecast to appear on both days.
