There is a nice light layer of fresh central Hokkaido powder covering the town and ski area, and the good news is the snow should persist through until the end of the week with heavy snow on the forecast for Saturday evening. Temperatures are mild today currently sitting just below zero at the base and expected to rise just above freezing during the day.

It is overcast at the moment but visibility remains good in general.
