Good morning skiers and snowboarders,
Furano Ski Resort is OPEN! [cue celebratory music]
It snowed most of the day yesterday, and more overnight, so things are definitely looking right and proper. Echoing our esteemed Hakuba reporter, things can change awfully fast in the mountains. Always something to keep in mind.
More snow scheduled from Dec 3 onward, so hopefully we can get some other runs open.
An official opening ceremony was held at the top of the Ropeway, and about 20 fanatics were there who wanted to open the mountain for the season.
Think snow.
Resort is officially OPEN! Currently only 2 runs from lift D at the top of the Ropeway, but open is open.
Can NOT ski to base. Must ride Ropeway back down.
More runs to open as snow permits.
