Snowfall at base this season 650cm

Posted on Wednesday 17th February 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

It was snowing heavily for the first half of the morning but has eased off and now there is just light snow coming down. Earlier on the visibility was poor due to the snow and cloud rolling down to the village, however the low cloud has gone and there is some sun shining down upon the resort. It looks like a great day out there.

There are some light winds, which are expected to pick up pace and become strong this afternoon, but they should have decreased again by tomorrow morning. Heavy snow is on the forecast for tonight and then continuous light snow through Thursday and Friday.
