There was 3cm of new snow at base this morning and around 10cm higher up on the mountain. The day started at -9c but quickly rose up to -3c around midday. The weather has been clear but the upper half of the mountain was shrouded in passing cloud during the morning, but afternoon has been better at the top. With the sun quite strong, sloping roofs have self shed and the footpaths have been sunbaked and are quite slippery.
