Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 802cm

Posted on Sunday 13th March 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

It is a perfect Sunday with clear views over the town through to Mt Tokachi in the distance.

The slopes are nicely groomed with a little powder on top and a frosty base under that. The base should soften late morning as the sun is out in full force. Ungroomed areas have some lovely light dry powder on them which is pretty amazing considering it is nearly mid March.

Tomorrow's forecast is pretty much the same as today's with perhaps slightly warmer temperatures.
