Good Morning Skiers & Boarders,
An interesting morning here slopeside in Furano. Yesterday afternoon was just above freezing, and the snow fell mixed with r@!n which produced a very intriguing texture, kind of sherbety or soft-ice crunchy. It's eminently packable; you could make any type of snowman you desire today. Definitely not a day to look for pow-pow, unless you're into unique snow textures and want to practice so that you are the quintissential all-around skier/boarder.
Anyway, the snow is supposed to continue all day today and the two days following that. The weather report has a heavy snow advisory out for the whole period. Awesome. Surely with all that computer modeling, something good will result.
Happy to report that the Midwinter Beer Party was a great time last night.
Think snow. It's working.
