They use different psychics to try to solve missing crime, etc. Kinda campy.. http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/telechika/contents/esp/index.html That said, I have to admit I have 3-4 Japanese friends who say they can see ghosts, spirits, etc. One can supposedly tell by just talking on the phone whether your town is a heavy ghost-spot or not (eg, Shimokitazawa, Kachidoki in Tokyo).
