Hokkaido - a whole month

Hey all,

Looking to spend a month skiing on and off piste around Hokkaido (Likely late december to the end of January). What are the best options for accomodation for both a longer stay and easy access to the snow? Somewhere its easier to meet backcountry skiers would be preferable. Any one have any experience meeting backcountry ski partners in Hokkaido, is the community big enough that it's easy to meet people, bonus if they're in the know?
