  1. Well I am ecstatic that I get 3 extra kilos flying with Qantas. We have flown Japan Airlines all the other years and though only allow 20kg.

I pack very lightly, take my ski boots as carry on luggage and wear my big jacket and under jacket onto the plane. We have never had a problem. Also invested in one of those hand held luggage weighers to double check the luggage before we leave.

Don't forget your connecting Sapporo flight from Toyko should be included as a international hence 20kg of luggage should be okay.

  2. RB - Domo Arigatou Gozimas for sharing that beautiful beautiful clip. I am still crying smile What a wonderful lovely teacher.

Believe me everyday I wake up I love and appreciate life and everytime I am out or thinking of someone I ring them or buy them something.

I lost my best friend very young and I would visit her grave everyday and every week I would put fresh flowers. It taught me to live the day everyday with your friends and family.

  3. Totally spectacular morning this morning.

I went out for my morning jog and came round the corner and there was a beautiful big kangaroo happily munching on the dewy grass. Then one of the bridges I cross the turtles where up on the stones. Perfect start to my morning. smile

  4. lol Funny how everyone knows the beer prices at every location rollabout

I don't find the food on the mountains (Niseko) a rip off!! I do find Hanazono the most expensive. I guess at the end of the day it is where you decide to eat. Yummy Pumpkin Soup at Ace Hill, Yummy Curried Vegetables at King Bell, Yummy Buckwheat Noodles Tempura Vegetables at Annupuri and ALL very resonably priced. Oh yeah the beer I just buy it because it is part of a staple diet. thumbsup

I am really missing the exercise endorphins and can not wait to get back into it!

I am post surgery day two - can you imagine what I am going to be like by next week. Tearing my hair out.

I'm hearing you MB - I am struggling big time with my lung/heart condition and miss my cardio fitness I used to have and the hardest thing for me is the weight gain YUCK!!!! Skiing on the other hand LOVE IT - As long as I had a face mask on to stop cold air into the lungs and didn't stress my lungs I could go all day AND DID and I lost weight!!! Maybe that is the answer just follow the snow around all year lol.

High end stuff like penthouses have also had very strong early bookings and as there are not many of these in the village availability is becoming hard to find in certain periods. I am only talking about more luxury end, western-style accomm though. Should still be plenty of availability in hotels and pensions I'd think?

Yep that is what we have been trying to book 1 bedroom apartments but not having much luck.
  7. Been having a good chuckle - Everything seems to be well covered. I was lucky enough to experience the opening of the department store and welcomed by all the staff (little scary the first time).

My favourite experience was when our plane landed and all the ground crew bowed. I still get a kick out of that!! lol
