Random question: Are potential university teachers SOL without publications, even if they have a Masters in TESOL and are at least conversational in Japanese?

Thanks, Kumapix! Yoroshiku o-negai shimasu!
I was about to get an MT Snow Mullet, but I decided to part with my Mervin-loving ways and got a Stepchild Ranquet for my pow stick instead. A couple guys I know are thinking of MT Snow Mullets though, so don't hesitate to ask a few months into the season and hopefully I can respond with a gear report.
(My next Mervin purchase will probably be a snowskate. Got to try one last season, and the missus and I LOVED it, even though we don't skateboard.)

I haven't ridden one yet, but living in the Pacific Northwest, I've heard plenty of reviews. It seems two-thirds of people who've ridden it love, and the other third hate it. Those that love it really dig the edge-hold on hardpack and ice and don't notice the MT anywhere else. Those that hate it say you can't put it in a deep, long carve and that it feels like it wants to turn even when the rider tries to straightline it.
And Magne-Traction isn't limited at all. In fact, it has expanded, now featured on more models and sizes, including the once cap construction Snow Mullet tapered pow stick, which is now sidewall and features faint MT at the front, and gradually increasing MT toward the tail to add edge hold when not in pow. (Bad run-on sentence there - gomen!)

I got to see Escramble a few weekends back. Not a bad flick, but I expected more since Volcom usually puts out good flicks.
Escramble Pro's
* Landvik's bottomless pow runs intro
* Terje, Guch & Jamie top-to-bottom freeriding in Jackson Hole
* silly claymation
Escramble Con's
* too long booter sessions
* anti-climactic finish
We just placed an order at a snowboard shop in Sapporo and put Car Danchi 2 with the rest of the goods. I really liked the first one, so I'm excited to see this next effor by Neil. I'm also looking forward to More and Bikecar.
What are your colours this year?

www.gaperhunter.com is where it's at. http://www.fluorescentrompersuits.co.uk/pics1.html is worthy of mention as well.
Some of the stuff in the Burton link looks normal. Other things look vomit-inspired/inspiring.
For what it's worth: navy blue pants, khaki jacket, white gloves, and any obnoxious colored beanie, usually orange.
