Hi All, Long time reader first time poster I'm heading to over to Tokyo for 3 nights from the 20th of June before I head over to Europe! One of the things i wanted to do in Japan was climb Mt Fuji, now does anyone know if this is possible to do in a day trip?? That is going from station 5 to the sumit and back I know most people either climb it to see the sunset or sunrise, but I don't have enough time to do that If you know if this is possible and know how i can organise it please let me know Thanks from Mark in Australia

wow thanks! yeah i am very interested in going to Yuzawa, i herd that the station is at the top of the mountain so its easy access. I would also need to hire all gear etc.. are there lockers available to store my stuff while i snowboard??

Hi guys I am currently in japan on holidays I will be in Kyoto from the 1st to the 7th and i am wanting to do a 1 day trip to the snow.. i have a JR pass so i can use the bullet train but do you know if this is possible to do a day tour type thing.. and any linnks i should check out? I am also a fairly tall person so would getting hire gear be an issue?? thanks heaps

Hi there! I am coming over from australia to ski for a few days in Hakuba. We have sorted out our accomodation we just need to find transport to and from Hakuba which is proving to be hard since neither of us speak/read Japanese! Now i noticed that most of the sites say to use the Shinjuku -> Hakuba Bus.. which is here http://www.alpico.co.jp/access/express/hakuba_shinjuku/fare_e.html but that website says the prices were made in 2001 so i think they would of changed now? Can some one please give me some advice as to how much the bus costs now? we'd want a return ticket.
