Most probably this part, the part about artists "doing it for their art"
Quote:He argues that artist should do it for the art, for the joy of making good music, and the OVERALL motivation should not be to make lots of money. -

My g/f told me last night that my teeth were stained. Took a look in the mirror and lo behold, more yellow than white.
This vexes me.
I'm not interested in shining white, but now my g/f said that I want to do something about it.
Any simple steps can be taken? Advice?

I was up in Gunma and had a wicked weekend at both Tenjin and Kawaba. I just LOVE being in this country in winter.

Does he stand much of a chance of winning?

There's some really talented people out there who would be able to get something like that done fairly quickly.
Excellent work.

Is Christmas Day a busy one on the slopes? I know many people aren't on holiday, so just wondering what conditions are like on the 25th when its a weekday like it is this year.

I was in Hakuba last Sunday. Awesome. A great start that was.

I hope it stays that way - we're off up there on Christmas Day.

If your surname was Hunt, who in their right mind would call their kid Mike? I just can't get that. Must be nuts.

Your number 2 sounds a bit worrying and not something I want either. No way!
Just give me decent product that does not crash and actually works. Thats all I want.

A universal concept that one isn't it?

I was in Akihabara the other day and looking at the top end notebooks.
There was one there for about 330,000 yen, and I asked them if they were able to give a discount. They were hissing and doing all the muzukashiis, so I went away for a few minutes and went back. I told the guy that the same machine over the road was 280,000 yen (not true) - I was shocked when the guy did a bit more of hissing in his breath and said OK, I could have it for 28 man.
Shocking the way they will come down in price so much so easily.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

I was skiing for many years but my knee started acting up a bit, and then took up snowboarding on advice from a buddy - so I'm out on the board for the most part now. You hear a lot of knee complaints, especially from skiers.

I've been doing more snowboarding recently, although I've also skied for over 15 years.

Hi.
Just wondering if many people on here take part in any other kind of fitness training in the winter months?
I still try to get down the gym a couple of times a week for a workout, then leave the rest to the slopes.

I'll tell you my fave eating place -- right near the Ropeway bottom a place called Ninjin does killer katsu set meals. It's a well known place by all accounts, and deserved too. Top tip is the hire-katsu teishoku @1600 yen. Go there with an empty stomach
