earlier in the night that zwelgen's talking about, this guy couldn't get into a club in shibuya bc he didn't have his gaijin card. what's up with that?? can only foreign residents go to some clubs and not travellers?

yeah i first tape up the edges of my windows, then put up bubble wrap and tape the edges again. it really makes a difference!

i have rice quite a bit for breakfast- it's so easy just to stick in the rice cooker the night before and then add a scoop of gohan desu yo in the morning.

over the christmas holidays, zwelgen and i were at nozawa, and it was -23 with windchill.

there was a group of japanese staying there last weekend, so it's not always just gaijin. and there's also a great onsen about a 2 minute walk down the street.

yeah he's so scary looking. he was cool for thriller, and then he has just gotten more and more freaky.

ughhh- how can you find milk delicious?? i absolutely hate it. it's pretty unnatural to drink milk past childhood- do you see other animals doing it? that's why so many adults are lactose intolerant. but cheese on the other hand is oishii.

the weekend buses sometimes are packed, but i can't imagine the night one in the middle of the week being full. regardless, they are really comfy and super quiet. sometimes eerily quiet- it's like everyone's afraid to speak or something. anyways, enjoy your trip!

for a snack, i dip carrots and cucumbers in a miso-mayo mix. it's not original, but it's so easy. i also like to make sandwiches with salmon sashimi. when i splurge on smoked salmon, i eat it with cream cheese on rice crackers.

there was an aet ski trip- i think a couple hundred came up from all over and stayed in pensions.
btw- saw sj flyers everywhere. there should be quite a few newbies joining soon.

first time out this season, my bindings were all wrong and i was having the worst day. every time i tried to turn onto my toe edge i fell and banged my knee in the same spot. after a particularly harsh run, i realized my knee looked like it had a baseball growing out the side of it. i was still pretty high up the mountain and didn't want to board down and risk injuring it more, so i had to get patrol to help me down. so embarassing to ride down a lift and to be on the back of a ski mobile riding up a run with the siren wailing and everyone staring at you. even worse to admit to the partollers that it's not your first day.
