Hi me jane. If you look at the numbers of visitors on the forums, around now is usually one of the busiest times of the day.
And also, of course, we have to schedule in Blair's time and ours as well.
It seemed a good time all round, but we're happy to hear other ideas.
-
We block as much crap out of the system and have security to deal with that. But whether they are counted or not, I am really not sure. Probably not.
-
No, sorry, at the moment there are no avalanche reports on the other pages.
-
Thanks.
Toque, what exactly do you mean by "is there anything else being posted on this site with regularity?"? You probably know all the places on SnowJapan that get updated regularly (weather/snow forecasts, resort watch, Now pages, reviews, journals, forum,....)
-
Search engines - no, don't think so.
Mail address wolfs - sorry??
-
No I don't think so, and people just can't see you (ie. your name will not appear in the Recent Visitors list even if you are browsing the forums).
We (snowjapan admin users) will be able to see you though
Why, got something to hide?
-
If this continues any more, we WILL take the sad step of banning people from using the forums. Feel free to try and come back to this with sarcastic comments if you wish to 'test us'.
-
The post above might be seen as a warning. We do not want this to continue, as you might gather
-
Like I said in the post above...
>>> If you want to continue arguing about this and/or laugh at each other's point of view, do it somewhere else - not here.
-
Can this thread please get back on topic.
If you don't like the reports or think they are useless then, hey, just don't read them. Some people obviously do appreciate and value them.
If you want to continue arguing about this and/or laugh at each other's point of view, do it somewhere else - not here.
Thanks.

I'm Sexy, there's a short delay from the time you logging in and using the forum to your name being displayed - you will surely appear there very soon.
-
When you make a new thread or reply to a post, on the FULL REPLY FORM, you will see a
"Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies."
check box. If you mark that, you should get an email every time someone posts to the thread. (Another thing we are going to have to keep a "bandwidth watch" on - ie don't get too attached to it!)
-
sunrise - thanks for the comments.
Unfortunately it's not possible to change the way the PM system is setup.
-
Fancy sending us one

Japanese text is usually ok, but seems to get corrupted when a post is edited. Not much we can do about that anyway actually. (And to be honest Japanese text on our English forum is not exactly a priority.)
-
You mean like this, tsondaboy?
?
-
Aha, "at work mode" perhaps.
-
We can't offer color prefs for users - that's not possible.

Thanks for posting john-g, and pointing out to us that until now unregistered users could post on this new forum section - we've changed that now to be like the rest of the forums, ie only registered users can post. Thanks.
