Will let you know after my visit there in Jan.

Where I`m from we say, "dawg."

Yes, I`ll be taking that damned test. Level 1(dunno why) Studying morning/afternoon/night/after midnight plus 3-4 hours of sleep per day plus lotsa power drinks plus constantly thinking I`d rather be boarding = insanity!
-
It means I`m aiming to be a pro! Just kidding. I guess it means I`m always thinking about boarding(like Ocean11). I try to go more times than I bath. I go not just so I can be part of the "in crowd" but I really want to improve my abilities/skills as a boarder everytime I go(which translates into lots of lonely rides on overnight buses). Does that qualify me as a person who boards seriously?

Wait a minute, did I miss something? How do I enter this drawing again?
-
You can SKI there. It`s skiers heaven out there. I`d stick with Ryuo or Takaifuji if you`re really into freestyle(3 half pipes baby!).
-
That`s my new challenge for the season too. Tried a little at Goryu/47 last time but things didn`t quite work out then..shall try again.
-
By the way, if you go there by car from Tokyo you`re better off getting off at Tsukiyono Interchange and park below Tashiro Ropeway(about 10min after you pass Naeba). There`s a nice hot spring across the street from the parking lot.
-
During the regular season that area gets gobs of powder snow. The problem is, Kagura has too many skiers and moguls, Tashiro has mostly beginner runs(might be good for you Deebee)and it`s a pain in the butt to connect between these two places. Also, everytime I went there I almost always experienced very low visibility. It`s strickly a spring time destination for me.

I wanna go! I wanna go! I wanna go! But I can`t. Barok, ya lucky bastard!
-
Yeah, some of them are pretty damn good. They`re just warming themselves up for the real season(when a real board park opens).
-
I`ve got three words for y`all...Hok-Kai-Do. Magical? You bet! P.S. Mr. Ocean, enjoy your trip back home. The rest of us staying will eat up all the powder for you.
-
Hi Mai, are you an awesome boarding chick? I`m sure there are a bunch of you out there that would just eat me up on the slopes(no pun intended)! I hope this site will be helpful to you. You live in Saitama? Maybe we can pick you up on the way to Tanbara(j/k).
-
Oh man, I can`t go. Just booked a real cheap deal by Bullet Train to GALA Yuzawa that weekend. Hey Nat, didn`t you say you live in Nerima-ku and you were looking for someone to share your "petrol" cost with you? I live pretty close, I think. Maybe we can hit some mountains together this season.
-
I shall spread the word to all my Nihon-jin boarding bastards. Hey Mr. Moderator, if you`re willing to make a semi-decent looking shirt advertising the site I`m sure many of us would be happy to wear it. Just a thought..
-
Higuma, you`re killing me, man! I can just TASTE the powder now! I remember when I went there last season I almost cried after I got off from the lift. Won`t be long, won`t be long(Christmas).
-
Woah, now that`s a generous invitation! Can I go too..please?
-
Maybe I`ll look you guys up when I`m at Myoko next month.

Sukiyaki and oden.

Well, more pow for us!

Does anyone know of a good place that serves good hogi sandwiches in Tokyo?
-
Wait a minute, I thought this thread is about who`s heading up to Niseko in Jan? SnoboYaro will make himself available to the great mountains of Niseko Sun Jan 12th-Tue Jan 14th. Hope to see y`all SJ members up there!

She sounds like a naughty-naughty cat to me! I`m really a dog person but ever now and then I dig a cat.
When did you take up snowsports?

How about up in Nepal? I think they`ve got "quite a bit" of snow.. Just out of curiosity does anyone know if there are any ski areas in Nepal?
