Some of whats presented on that vid is totally unsubstanciated and basically madeup but some other stuff really has me thinking if it could have been a Bush conspiracy. Provocative viewing

I've snowboarded in alot of places in Japan and I'd say that Happo-one has an all mountain consistently steep terrain. What are the other steep resorts in Japan?

Got any photos of the event longboardsk8man?

19 medals to 2. If Canada didn't beat the Aussies by that many medals in the winter Olympics Canada would have to have a good hard look at itself, considering how much snow Canada gets to Oz. Shall we talk the Summer Olympics.......?

Does anyone wear the one piece ski wear? Seems to be becoming popular with the Japanese but I've never seen a gaigin wear one. What's it like to wear? Defineately no snow invading up your back after a stack. How do you take a dump without the top half of the suit touching the floor of the toilet?

That just reminded me. Don't you think the medals in Torino look crap? They look like a CD hanging from the neck!

After messing around with binding angles for years I found that setting the binding angles to the natural stance angles of my feet feels and works the best. My natural stance is slightly duck so I simply stood in my bindings and set them to my natural stance. Feels comfortable and responsive. As with most things in life whatever feels or comes natually is generally the best for the individual.

Happo vs Kagura ain't a contest! They're not comparable terrain wise. Kagura has one run in regards to steepness and length that would maybe compare to Happos 20! Snow quality is probably similar.

I like your old mans wise words Subzero!

Shaun White is in a league of his own. No touches him when he means business!

Good work with the vid Bushpig! That looked an awesome effort. Even though he speaks with a north american accent we'll take him!

Yep. Top of Happo on a clear day is an awesome view. Those mountains are just so rugged. Dunno about pine trees though?

sava(again) currently not banging any yanks either. Come to think of it I've never banged a yank!

I don't know if a helmet prevents more deaths or creates more. I've heard of some stats that show no difference in the number of injuries and deaths between wearers and nonwearers. The protection of the helmet gets evened up by wearers charging harder than they normally would and thus getting into bad situations at greater speed.

"just touching base with you" So impersonal and so Americanized. Not bagging yanks at all but I cringe everytime I hear it

Easy chow if you're into goat steaks

That looks the goods spud! Whats the make? Can't quite see. Would love to ride some dry pow on that!

I think most/all guys are "easy" especially when wearing beer goggles. Actually even without but I'd like Rach and the girls to answer my question. Would you rather date a guy who has a very fat bank account but very little personality or go for the guy with no cash but a heap of character?

Your right about the no women in Hakuba SerreChe. What do you guys do up there for socialising with the opposite sex?
-
You Hakuba lads are shit stirrers! Don't talk your place up too much otherwise the next thing you know there'll be an international airport made in Hakuba and all the cashed up, superdrunk, vehicle stealing Aussies are gonna invade your Hakkers paradise instead of Niseko.

The first southerly wind of the year=haru ichiban. Means spring is on the way. Damn!
-
Yes rigor mortis don't get sucked into the Hakuba boys banter. They seem to take pleasure in going outta their way to bag Niseko. They're just jealous that the powder isn't as good in Hakuba

I'd never seen snow till I came to Japan 10 years ago. Two weeks after arriving my first ever time in the snow was on skis at Maiko ski jo. I picked it up in about a day without too many aches. Moved onto boarding the following season and got the hang of it in about a day, too but with plenty of aches and pains.

I snapped a brand new burton custom clean in half just in front of the front foot binding by hitting a tree at night in Niseko. I was so upset at the time because I'd only used the board a few days but later was glad that the board took the hit rather than me.
