yen was up to 250 to the pound not long ago (6 months ago?) but is now 170 as you say. I sent some dough at 210 and wishing I held on another month or two but you never know whats coming. Im now thinking abuot sending more but the rate is plummeting every day, maybe one day it will bounce back up to 200, or maybe its gonna go down to 5 yen per pound I can go can back to uk and retire
Realistically though, strong yen is going to cause huge troubles for jp companies exporting goods (like mine). I dont know what effect that will have on exchange rates. Hopefully my salary wont suffer and I can enjoy a nice rate or exchange sending home for a while.

I think fuji just buys one international game each time. I guess it depends on the competition (friendly, euro-qual, WC-qual etc) whether they buy a game or not. Anyway I dont have fuji, if its a big game ill use p2p to watch it online.
anyway, the table looks nice so we can enjoy looking at it for a little while:

Hes a proper nutter. However, Agger is an ample replacement and it will be good for him to get some games in.
-
kuyt, like keane, is one who is in there cos of his 'vital hard work' as benitez always says. We are winning so I am trusting him, even though they aren't getting the goals.
Mascherano is actually a really strong player, I think he is one of the best midfielders in the league! Alonso on the other hand...
-
oooo that was sweet! Dare I say we looking like we might be in with a shout this year? we keep nicking points all the time.
SWP is a diver, he was irritating me last night.

I did it. It was only $1.
The reason I did it was cos I ordered throught the company so:
- I was getting a nice discount anyway, plus GBP-USD rate is good.
- Many people in the company were reviewing the quote so I wanted to look like a good guy ;-)
-
But if that happened then people would have to think about what is really going on in the world - iraq, financial crisis, oil prices, global warming...

Both of them are great at beating players. It'd be good to have them on one wing each. Reiri was awesome on his debut.
-
Liverpool looked quite strong last night, bossing the game totally, wish we could be like that in the league more often.
I like this Reiri guy but I think Babel is also excellent, not sure who I prefer right now. I'm still not impressed by Alonso, I think hes been a bit crap this season and last, wish we could have got rid of him and brought in Barry.

i was in uk for a few days last week but in japan now. i saw the lfc vs marseille game in germany, it was nice to watch it at a reasonable hour and with a draft shiro-beer.
-
hat-trick would be nice. ill be watching it live.

carling cup is just there to keep the substitues entertained. i see jermaine pennant got a game for us, and arsenal put out their boys team.
-
I would say I have a little extra feeling for the firstborn, I would never say it to them or anyone who would let them know though. Actually he is worse behaved and so on, but the bond for me is stronger. It may also be because hes a boy and the other is a girl.
-
It's good, but no addons so useless to me.
-
As the teams walked out i thought we would get battered.
I thought that Rieri looked very good on his debut. Keano looked crap again, miskicks etc.
-
by coincidence i also went to the inlaws grave site today for the first time. i was quite impressed, they have a prime spot and a big fat gravestone they just paid 135man for. the family has been in the area for many generations so all the gravestones around it were from the same family.

maybe sir alex thought that without gerrard he could afford to just put in one ball winner (carrick) and get away with playing everyone else as striker. when carrick went off it was curtains for them, they didnt get the ball at all in the 2nd half.
-
that was sweeeeeeet.

If google has its way, we wil be using their software for word processing, excel etc so they store your files and look after the backups.
i use it myself for some things, like work files i need when travelling, personal info etc, its quite useful. probably safer than carrying a USB too.

yeh TW is ok, when he came on against liverpool in champions league last year he look awesome with his speed. i think he is a bench player though, come on when the legs are tired for the last 30 mins type of thing. anyway, at least its looking like we can get to the world cup this time.

Jet Pac was very good. Jet Set Willy was my fav though.

The emporer of sumo associate resigned over this too. its totally ludicrous. Why is it ok for them to sleep with prozzies and so on but not to partake in a little weed?
-
Without offside im sure you would just get a formation of 5-0-5 with a load of tall players and big kickers.
It would be like George Grahams Arsenal vs the 'crazy gang' Wimbledon every game.

gili is beautiful.
I got my advanced OW in egypt in 1998, cant imagine much better diving than in the red sea.
Zebra crossings
in General off-topic discussions
Posted
In Japan cars do not have to stop at zebra crossings, unlike the UK. Its in the 'rules of the road' handbook.
The zebra crossing is just a recommended safe place for pedestrians to cross, but they have to wait for a gap in the cars.
