the three-hole system makes sense because by overlapping the triangles, burton has created between-triangle slots by moving down a slot and flipping the triangle. It sounds complex, but it means there are more available positions per threaded hole, thus meaning it's a simpler machine. It irritated me for a while too before I realized that. ps Burton rocks the house.

I am spending two weeks in Hokkaido in January and am wondering if anyone can recommend a place to stay. Single room, low rates, preferred. And I don't speak Japanese, sorry to say! Would be grateful for any suggestions!

I think it's good to set the angls like you walk. I'm real pigeon-toed, I ride 0/12; it's how my feet feel comfortable, and the plates are equidistant nose-to-tail.
