i understand that the train and bus don`t leave niseko early enough in the morning to get you to the airport by 10am, but i could be wrong. you may have to get a later flight, or overnight in sapporo.

Thanks for this information. I have complete trust in the forecasts provided by your network and the resorts. The only reason that I posted my last message to The Frog is that he is well regarded by many in Australia for not only his forecasts, but also his access to interesting analysis/charts, etc.

 

I am new to this DB this season and can`t wait to begin reading the forecasts that this site produces - and totally can`t wait until I'm riding Niseko next Jan/Feb!!!

Will you be providing your forecasts for Japan this season? I wonder if you can tell me where I can get COLA/NOGAPS, or for that matter any model information, for the region? Its too easy to trust your commentaries back in Oz!

hey all,

sat night, january will be first time for me too. i am heading up to niseko and the surrounding resorts on hokkaido...apparently, mad conditions. but from the sounds of it, japan has a lot of mountains that are 'mad'. i'm a skier and a pretty aggressive (ie: everywhere at max power) at that. just so you know, i've no issues w/boarders, all riders are cool just as long as any rider doesn`t damn well ride into me!!

can`t wait till jan...niseko looks awesome, have a video of the conditions, just blows me away every time i watch it...

but then again, some of the locals here can probably tease out more snow porn than i can...

your english is quite OK i think! i am from australia and am travelling to niseko-hirafu this jan/feb for the first time. we can't wait to get up there and rip it up! after that, i hope to check out the other snow resorts in and around japan - there certainly are a lot to keep track of.
