apparently Indonesian/Malay has no plural. But they do sometimes repeat a word twice if they want to emphasize more than one. Don't know of any others.
"2 Bushpig Bushpig" = 2 bushpigs
"3 Bushpin Bushpig" = 3 bushpigs

What if we took all the money from our bank account BEFORE our credit card company invoice the "stolen" amount to your bank account? Are we blacklisted?

Does that someone has to be close to your location?

Wish I could use an electric razor but my skin seems allergic to them. When I use an electric one, my neck looks as red as monkey's butts

Well why the hell not?!?
Is Japanese only language that doesn't care that number part? Do all the other languages have plural forms?

Errrr Markie, maybe you always visit here in mid April or latter or first half of Dec?
Sun-Alpine closes at the first half of April.
Fukdane, I think you can see some at Ura-bandai?
That mountain is also nice. I like Goshikinuma in summer as well though.

Wow,muikabochi, sorry to see that. That's too bad.
Is that a pic of recent days?

I think "snow" is an uncountable noun, so "A falling snow" is probably an incorrect expression, it sounds more like snow that is falling now. But for Japanese people, it's tough to judge what are countable nouns, what are uncountable ones because Japanese language is a bit vague for it.
We always say Kame カメ (亀) for turtles, singular or plural, it doesn't matter. It never is カメス or 亀s.
Maybe "Attention, snow drops off" is better?

My dictionaries say "Japanese anthelope" for Kamoshika.

Went to Sun-Alpine today with my guests. It was a nice day and made it good.
Lake Aokiko view from Kashimayari
Detour course from the top of Kashimayari, it's like a tour inbetween trees.
Ice? snow? at some tiny branches, looks pretty wonderful.
Don't know the name of this mountain though.
Totally I made it good, and as I have mentioned Sun-Alpine is what you should try when you visit Hakuba while you have enough time. Not so many people know this ski slopes but highly recommended.
Only some points I can advice are:
#1 Prepare enough case in advance - No credit card accepted at and around Sanosaka Castle plaza, no ATM.
#2 Please do purchase a "Sun-Alpine Kyotsu rifuto ken" which works for entire area (Sanosaka, Aokiko , Kashimayari ) even when the ticket window staff recommend some local ski pass because it's cheaper. Some tiny 100 yen coins difference in price per one and when you get in other area with that local ski pass, you can not go through the lift gate there. We had this problem today. I should have checked what my guests purchased. One of them had a Sanosaka local ski pass and when we got in Aokiko area, it didn't let the guest go through the gate and we needed to go back where the person purchased the ski pass to claim some. Maybe I guess the ticket window staff thought it's better to recommend people cheaper ones so that people are happy but if the people are from somewhere else ( not from local area ), usually they don't know the area enough good. They don't know where is Sanosaka, where is Sun-Alpine etc stuff.
So this is probably my fault, I didn't check it. I thought I should not interrupt them too much while my guests try to figure something not in their mother tongue not in their own country. It's kinda adventure for them which may be fun.
But I should have done it in this case.
I have learned something today.

Recently I have noticed that people tend to have some certain way how their voice sound depends on their mother tongues. E.g. people whose mother tongue are English tend to have this kind of voice, people whose mother tongue are Chinese tend to have that kind of voice. Maybe I am unique to talk about this but am I alone there?
Or does it depends on the circumstances where they live?

So it was not quite an old 'tradition' compared with Japan's thousands years' history.

I think you misunderstood some. Suzaka is closer to Nagano city than Obuse. But yes, if you were located in Nozawa Onsen, easy to get confused with their location.
I said roughly 1 hour car ride from Obuse to Hakuba because I know the route. Maybe a lot more if people don't know the correct route, easier to get lost.

Soub, is Oishida close to Zao?
I think I misunderstood your location.
-
Me too. But I guess perhaps it's very easy to get lost there if once you get in the area of snow monster? Coz it looks maybe same every direction. Hard to judge where to go?

"禿げ" or just "禿"
