Yep those 50 m sprints ... 3 sets of 4...with say a 2min rest inbetween would do the job and
probably only take approx 30 mins. Big results for minimal time input and hills are cheaper than gyms.
Fairly simple and effective if adhered to.

I've been led to believe that if you do too much aerobic exercise like a cycle spin class that although
you will get fit /lose weight you also will eat away at the muscle.
I started back at the gym with those spin classes a few years back to get back in condition for surf/snow activities and it worked well.
Now, that I believe I am relatively fit I do more of a weights circuit routine
to gain strength & maintain fitness which I feel is a big key to snow sports especially leg strength.
But as everyone has said a healthy diet with some exercise is the key.

OI!!!
I resemble that remark!
And I just thought you were grumpy

Initially I thought you were g'ing us all up by just having a blank/white post hence the but when I viewed thread at home I noted a video had been up loaded.
And I think I saw another trip report for same time, the poster fell in a hole up near the top but managed to dig himself out.
I am still having issues with viewing the footage at local library tho, where I first tried to view and tried again today (no luck) as our internet access at home is fairly hopeless!

My bad, couldnt view video when initially. Good stuff.

With Ippy selling all his shite and in particular the powder snake was just wondering if how easy/ hard
to get your hands on a second hand powder board in Nihon? Been looking in Oz but there rare as hens
teeth (don't get much powder here!)
Theres a GNU Haulin Oats 170 on Ebay at the moment for $30
Checked it out Seemore. That's one big wide board. Looked in pretty good nick . Person selling it reckoned
all it needed was a edge and base tune to tidy it up. Cant remember what postage fee but all up seemed reasonable for 2nd hand.
Just thought it may be too big/ wide for me even with low cost, just going on manufacturers recommended weight to board sizes however
that may change with powder boards?
I had been looking for 2nd hand Burton Fishies' up to ~ 160 - 165. Although not too keen on centre channel thingy, just thought
there would be more 2nd hand ones due to popular brand?

Hope all goes well with updates, really enjoying the site.

Not sure which way you are looking at it?
If the Niseko brand is catering for the international visitor and making a return on/taking care of your investment
then its money in your pocket with a few fringe benefits as mb states.
Sure know I would like a cheap bear cave away from N but could see problems with logistics, snow clearing
and rental return when not a local.

I have heard a few economists saying Japn is heading for a big fall in 2015 not sure why but Iam saving my pennies to buy some property over there
Hey Seemore, I have toyed with this idea a lot and sometimes I regret just not jumping in
and doing it years ago , but I still dont think Ive missed the boat having read other posts
concerning Japenese property / pricing and might be better if your sources are reliable.
If you don't mind me asking, any ideas of where are you thinking of buying and reasons why/ why not?
At a guess it would be somewhere near your favorite area which cannot be name
Hopefully I am not straying off topic too much.

Anyone know in detail how the US$ will be against the yen in early April?
would like to know going back to the US for a few weeks then.
Isn't the US facing the fiscal cliff, that was postponed, soon?
Yen 99.6 v aud yesterday. May have to buy some more for 2014.

Ta for the report MIJ
Lapping Skyline would have been awesome with all that snow. Too bad about the wind but sure you would have
had a few places when you dropped down lower and in the trees where it would have been fantastic.
Is it a hooded chair on Skyline? I can't remember!
Did you have a beer or some cheese?

As Mr Wiggles points out, getting out the door/ off the couch thats in front of the tv is half the battle. Its
not easy to do after a crapola day at work when all you want to do is de stress with a couple of bevvies and
a packet of crisps.
Also as tubby highlights exercising with a buddy/ group can really help. That is one of the reasons going to the
gym works for me, there is always some people there trying to get fit. Its all layed out ready to go and they also
have all those group classes / les mills inspired if one is incline.
Motivation for me also comes from trying to get value for money or using the membership which is not too bad as the gym
is supported by the local council.
One thing that I have really notice is there is fashion trend in gyms/ exercising now. I still wear an old t-shirt, board shorts
and joggers to get hot/sweaty in but there is alot of expensive Lorna Jane/ Lycra etc parading around out there.
