weather forecasts look like its going to be quite warm over the weekend in niseko. i hope it starts snowing soon I'm going to be there in less than 3 weeks!
maybe i should go to furano instead considering they are due to have night skiing from the 1st december? more time on the slopes as im only there for 5 days.

What do you guys think about Skymark and Airdo? It seems they can work out even cheaper than the JAL 13000 yen flights.

not sure why they would pay $700 for the connecting flights.
you can get visitor air passes from JAL or ANA which cap domestic flights at 13000yen each way (+taxes).

Yeah unfortunately its the only time I can make it between final exams and graduation. Plan was to be there dec3-dec9. Havent made any bookings yet but I figure Niseko is the best chance we have to do some boarding in Japan, so we are willing to make the trip up from Tokyo. (coming from Australia flying into Tokyo).
Very happy to hear advice if you think we have a better option!

any idea when the resort websites usually update their info for 09/10 season? they all seem to have up 08/09 info still.

im predicting a very early season with heaps of snow.
why? because i need it to be!

yeah it will be risky. ive taken a look at the snow reports for a lot of resorts but you cant paint a detailed picture with them unfortunately.
from my research i figure the best chance of getting snow this early is in hokkaido. would be much easier if it was on honshu as i am flying into tokyo so i will have to look at the weather reports in november and make very late bookings. at the moment niseko is scheduled for late nov opening and so is kiroro. looks like most of the lifts were open in niseko the first weekend of december last year (according to their lift schedule).
will continue to pray to the weather gods!

will be in japan dec1-10. is Hokkaido the best bet in Japan for snow this early? Looks like niseko and kiroro have the highest chance of snow this early. Hope the weather works out!
