My plan is to cut out some day trips, too tiring, and take a big chunk of time in one place. Haven't planned it all out yet still deciding where that place will be.

10 ended up.
I am hoping to take 2 full weeks off next season and take a decent break somewhere.
Day trips wear me out.

Where was that Metabo?

Amazing photos!
Keep them coming - lets hope the weather cooperates.

Curling
I dare someone to actual create a curling thread!
Boarder cross is great, love watching that.

Totally.
This place is invaluable.
Thank you, the people who run it and the people who contribute so much on the forums too.

I'm hoping to get between 10-15 days out at least this coming season. Still unsure as to the plans but plenty of time for that.

Is that 1 million $ or yen?
And they give it to you to take it on, right?
Just checking the details.

In terms of days probably about 300, over a period of about 18 years.

The first skis I had in Japan were a 2nd hand set of Ogasaka. I actually really liked them and they are still in the genkan - like decorations Very heavy and look old now, but I have fond memories of them.
The (Japanese) friend I got them from was very much a fan of Ogasaka, though I'm not sure if there might have been some Nagano bias going on there.

Hi
I see that from next year a new Skyliner route will cut the time down to 36 minutes from Tokyo. Nice.
But can someone explain to me why Narita Express is so much more expensive than the Skyliner? I've never heard an explanation for that, other than "it just is"!!
Thanks

Got one.
Love it.
The laptop I had on in my home is now packed away. No more awkward balancing on the lap, wheres the mouse, bigness. This is a far more desirable way to surf and play.
The AppStore is immense.
Got some Kindle books going on.
Totally recommended.
