It would be useful though if you needed to stun the worms in order to escape their pursuit.

Hmmm. It's not a competition, but I would imagine I can get in over 10. The more the better.

Hoping to go in early December.

Hi there
Don't seem to be able to find this info, but is it possible to get to Marunuma Kogen (in Gunma) from the Tochigi/Nikko side? I see there is a road, Route 120, but wondering if it is open in winter.
Thanks in advance.

I met my lady at a wedding.

I saw an accident caused by someone turning a corner using their keitai. Very lucky an old lady didn't get run down. But her bike got splattered

Naeba, on the 2nd weekend of me being in Japan.

Moving to Tokyo and some Japanese friends of mine taking me up to Yuzawa started it for me. I thank them even now.

Interesting to read that. I moved up to Morioka a few years ago and have sent the last few years exploring the region. The only problem is that places are spread out more than they are in say Niigata - thats one cluster of resorts there in Yuzawa.
-
I have been there twice - both times I went the same guy was there sitting down on his portable stool painting.
If you like monkeys, give yourself at least an hour.

Kagura used to be the place I went to when I was based in Tokyo. Really liked that place. I remember snowboarding there in late May, great experience it was with the place boiling up down below.

It was mine. Originally in Tokyo so I visited places in Yuzawa and Gunma, then moved up to Morioka so I have a few places round here too.
Curious to know if many people first tried it out here or not?

Snowboarding since I came to Japan 5 years ago.

Windows update keeps on annoyiung me with messages about Silverlight - but really doesn't satisfy me explaining what it is. (And a search online doesn't help much).
So what the heck is Silverlight? Anyone able toexplain in "duh" language that a mere peasant might understand?!
