Hagurosan is about 20km from the Tsuruoka IC exit on the Yamagata Expressway.

From the Tsuruoka IC exit, turn left onto Route 7 and after about 650m turn right onto Prefecture Road 47. Continue on this road for over 19km until reaching the entrance road for the ski area. Turn left to head to the car parks.

Free parking is available at the base of Hagurosan.
