Tateyama Sanroku is a ski area located in the southeastern region of Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture.
Tateyama Sanroku is essentially two connected ski areas, Raicho Valley and Gokurakuzaka. They share a joint lift ticket, but each has its own base area with car parks and various facilities. The official course map calls them the Raicho Valley Area and the Gokurakuzaka Area.
The Raicho Valley Area features four pair lifts and a kids park, and the lower section is open for night skiing.
The Gokurakuzaka Area has two quad lifts and a pair lift.
Both areas feature ski runs where the snow is left ungroomed.

Normal season dates
Tateyama Sanroku usually plans to be open from mid-December until mid-May. See below for the actual opening and closing dates in recent seasons.
Normal opening times
Tateyama Sanroku is normally open from 8:00am until 4:10pm during the daytime (Gokurakuzaka). The Raicho Valley lifts open at 8:30am.
Night skiing
Night skiing is available in the lower section of the Raicho Valley Area (Number 2B pair lift), from 4:30pm until 8:30pm.
Ungroomed runs
There are some ungroomed runs in both areas of Tateyama Sanroku.
Families & children
The Kids Park is at the base of the Raicho Valley Area. It features a moving walkway, sledding, tubing, striders and playing in the snow activities. It costs 1,000 yen to use. There is a free sledging area at the base of the Gokurakuzaka Area. Special kids lessons are also available at the ski area.

Rental
Ski and snowboard equipment & wear rental is available at the Ski Center at the Gokurakuzaka Area base.

Introduction to the region
Toyama Prefecture is located in the Chubu region on the main island of Honshu. Toyama is also part of the Hokuriku subregion, the northern coastal section of Chubu, which also includes Fukui Prefecture and Ishikawa Prefecture (and sometimes Niigata Prefecture).
Toyama Prefecture is bordered by Niigata Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture to the east, Gifu Prefecture to the south and Ishikawa Prefecture to the west.
The ski areas in the prefecture are located across the mountain ranges.
