Azo Koen is a ski area located in the western region of Tottori City in Tottori Prefecture.
This ski area is 'skiers-only', meaning that snowboarding is not allowed.
This small ski area has two rope tow lifts (162m and 132m) and gentle slopes suitable for beginners.
Azo Koen usually opens on weekends and holidays when there is enough snow, and usually from January through March.
The wider Azo Shinrin Koen (Azo Forest Park) facility has a campsite, tennis course, bungalows, a multi-purpose building and a restaurant.

Introduction to the region
Tottori Prefecture is located in the Chugoku region of the main island of Honshu in western Japan. Tottori Prefecture borders Shimane Prefecture to the west, Hiroshima Prefecture to the southwest, Okayama Prefecture to the south, and Hyogo Prefecture to the east.
The beautiful 1729m Mt Daisen in the western region of the prefecture is a popular destination year-round, and there are several ski areas around the mountain, the largest being Daisen White Resort.
There is also one ski area (Wakasa Hyonosen) on the eastern border with Hyogo Prefecture.
Azo Koen is the only ski area currently operating in Tottori City.
