Sayama is a 'semi-indoor' ski area located in Tokorozawa City in Saitama Prefecture.
It doesn't usually snow much in Saitama... Sayama uses 100% artificial snow only.
Sayama is a covered 300m slope next to Seibu Dome (currently known as Belluna Dome). There are open-air baseball fields on the other side.
There used to be two ski lifts at Sayama, a 247m single lift on the left side of the slope and a 237m single lift on the right.
The facility was closed during the 2019-2020 winter season for redevelopment and re-opened in November 2020. The old ski lifts were replaced by an escalator in two sections (the 110m Lina Way and the 84m Leo Way).

Introduction to the region
Saitama Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of Honshu. It is landlocked and shares borders with Gunma and Tochigi Prefectures to the north, Ibaraki Prefecture to the northeast, Chiba Prefecture to the southeast, Tokyo to the south, Yamanashi Prefecture to the southwest, and Nagano Prefecture to the west.
Natural snowfall in Saitama is... unusual. While still officially a 'ski area', the semi-indoor slope of Sayama offers artificial snow. It is the only ski area in Saitama.
Tokorozawa City is in the southern region of the Prefecture, close to the border with Tokyo.
