The journey from Echigo Yuzawa Station to Matsudai Station using the Hokuhoku line is about 45 minutes.

A taxi from the nearby Matsudai Station takes about 3 minutes.

By road

Nearest national route: Route 253 (0.3km away)


Matsudai Family can be found just off Route 253. The nearest expressway exit is Muimamachi IC on the Kanetsu Expressway, though Matsudai Family is also within easy reach of the Joestsu IC of the Joshinetsu Expressway to the west.


After exiting the toll booth at Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC, turn right and continue for 1km until reaching Route 17. Turn left onto Route 17 towards Yuzawa and after about 650m turn right onto Route 353. Continue on Route 353 for about 18km until reaching the Route 117 traffic light junction. Turn left onto Route 117 (Nozawa Onsen is on the main signpost). After about 1.5km turn right onto Prefecture Road 49 and follow the signs towards Matsunoyama and then Matsudai using Route 353. On reaching the junction with Route 403 and Route 253 after about 15km, turn right onto Route 253. Matsudai Family is about 1.5km on the right hand side.


From central Tokamachi City, head west on Route 253.


There is a free car park for 120 vehicles at the base of Matsudai Family.
