However there are local bus services from Chino (50 minutes) to Shirakabako, and from there to the ski area (10 minutes).

Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai is about 27km from the Suwa IC exit of the Chuo Expressway and also easy to get to from the Saku Minami IC exit on the Chubu Odan Expressway.


The ski area is located to the north east of Lake Shirakaba just off Prefecture 40.


There is parking available for 1,500 vehicles on three car parks close to base.


Some parking is charged on weekends and holidays (and some is free every day). There is a free shuttle bus from one free car park to the ski lifts.
