Chino Station on the Chuo Honsen line is about 22km to the southwest of the ski area.


Sakudaira Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line is just over from Kurumayama Kogen.

A bus service to Kurumayama Kogen from Chino Station takes about 60 minutes.


A taxi from Chino Station takes about 40 minutes and costs at least 8,000 yen during the daytime.

By road

Kurumayama Kogen is located by the side of Prefecture Road 40, otherwise known as the Venus Line.


The nearest exit on the Chuo Expressway is Suwa IC.


From the Suwa IC exit, go straight ahead and at the junction after less than 1km turn left onto Route 20. After about 3.5km turn right onto Prefecture Road 40 (Venus Line) and then keep on this road to head up to the ski area. Kurumayama Kogen is on the left hand side of the road.

There are five parking areas with a capacity of about 1500 vehicles. Parking is free on weekdays. Some are charged on weekends and holidays (1,000 yen per day).


A bus takes people from the further car parks and nearby accommodation on busy days.
