Information status
Not yet updated

Gozaisho is a ski area located near the top of Mt Gozaisho in Komono Town in the northern region of Mie Prefecture.

It is the only ski area in Mie Prefecture. However, this is a skiers-only ski area, so snowboarders are not allowed.

There is only one way to get to the ski area: via the Gozaisho Ropeway lift, which rises from the Yunoyama Onsen area of Komono Town.

At the top of the Ropeway are two single lifts, a few sledging areas and a 1km long snowshoe course.

There are two main ski runs, each about 200m in length. The steepest slope has a maximum gradient of 25 degrees, and the ski area classifies this as being for 'advanced skiers'. The other slope has a maximum gradient of 17 degrees and is classified as being for 'beginners'.
