Shigarai is just over 12km from the Yuda IC exit on the Akita Expressway.

From the Yuda IC exit turn left onto Route 107 and then after about 4km turn left onto Prefecture Road 1 and head north. Shigarai is just to the east of the Shinmachi town area.

There is free parking for about 50 vehicles at the base area.
