2026-2027 season information

Mid-December 2026 until mid-March 2027

Information status
Not yet updated

Manba, or Kannabe Kogen Manba, is a ski area located in the Kannabe Kogen region of Toyooka City, in the northern region of Hyogo Prefecture.

There are three pair lifts at Manba. The snow on the upper Triangle C course is left ungroomed.

Artificial snow-making machines were introduced at Manba in 2020. An 'entry charge' was also introduced, and either that or a valid ski lift ticket is required to enter the ski area.

Until 2024, Manba was physically connected at the top with Oku Kannabe and a joint ticket was available. For the 2024-2025 season, the Number 6 lift at Oku Kannabe (which acted as a connecting lift) is not operating. Even when the connection was available, information about the connection between the two ski areas was curiously scarce... and it still is. (As of mid-November 2024, nothing about this change is mentioned on the official Manba website). What can be 100% confirmed is that connecting ski lift is not scheduled to open this season.

There are currently three ski areas in the region. In addition to Oku Kannabe, the other is Up Kannabe.

Introduction to the region

Hyogo Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of western Honshu. It shares a border with Kyoto Prefecture to the east, Osaka Prefecture to the southeast, and Okayama and Tottori Prefectures to the west.

The ski areas in Hyogo are mostly located within Yabu City, Toyooka City and Kami Town in the northwestern region of the prefecture. The popular ski areas are either around Mt Hachibuse or in Kannabe Kogen, a bit further northeast.

There is just one ski area in the south of the prefecture, and it is within the city limits of Kobe. Thanks to artificial snowmaking machines, Rokkosan Snow Park is usually one of the first ski areas in the Kansai region to open each year. It is a small area but within easy reach of central Kobe City.

Manba is one of 3 ski areas currently operating in Toyooka City.
