Mineyama Kogen Resort WHITE PEAK is a ski area located in Kamikawa Town in the central region of Hyogo Prefecture.
This ski area opened in 2017, making it the newest ski area (with ski lifts) in Japan. Before then, the most recent new ski area opening in Japan was Ibukinosato in Okayama Prefecture in 2003.
Mineyama Kogen Resort WHITE PEAK is on the eastern slopes of 1,077m Gyoseizan in the central region of Hyogo Prefecture. The three courses are serviced by one 698m triple lift (Forest Line) and one 758m pair lift (Mountain Line), and they all end up back at the base.
Aside from Rokkosan Snow Park in the south of the prefecture in Kobe City, Mineyama Kogen Resort WHITE PEAK is the most southerly of the ski areas in Hyogo.

Introduction to the region
Hyogo Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of western Honshu. It shares a border with Kyoto Prefecture to the east, Osaka Prefecture to the southeast, and Okayama and Tottori Prefectures to the west.
The ski areas in Hyogo are mostly located within Yabu City, Toyooka City and Kami Town in the northwestern region of the prefecture. The popular ski areas are either around Mt Hachibuse or in Kannabe Kogen, a bit further northeast.
There is just one ski area in the south of the prefecture, and it is within the city limits of Kobe. Thanks to artificial snowmaking machines, Rokkosan Snow Park is usually one of the first ski areas in the Kansai region to open each year. It is a small area but within easy reach of central Kobe City.
Mineyama Kogen Resort White Peak is the only ski area currently operating in Kamikawa Town.
