By train and public transport

Shintokuyama is located just to the north of central Shintoku Town area and slightly over 1km from Shintoku Station on the Nemuro Honsen line.


There is no shuttle bus service.

By road

  • 14.7km from the Tokachi Shimizu IC on the Doto Expressway


Nearest national route: Route 38 (0.3km away)


Shintokuyama is located just off Route 38 to the north of the town centre.


Tokachi Shimizu IC is the closest exit on the Doto Expressway.


From the Tokachi Shimizu IC exit, turn right onto Route 274 (Nissho Toge National Highway) and continue for just under 4km until reaching Route 38. Turn left onto Route 38 and head north for about 10.5km. Shintokuyama can be seen on the left hand side. By the big sign turn left and then soon right onto a small road that leads up to the ski area.


Free car parking is available at the base area of Shintokuyama on three parking areas.
