By train and public transport

Kiroro is about 26km from Otaru Chikko Station on the Hakodate Honsen line.


A shuttle bus service is available from the Otaru on the Hakodate Honsen line. Reservations are required.


Other bus services from Sapporo and the international airport are also available.


A taxi from central Otari City costs about 6,000-8,000 yen and takes about 40 minutes.

By road

Nearest national route: Route 393 (4.1km away)


Kiroro is about 4km off Route 393 (otherwise known as the Akaigawa National Highway), and less than 30km from central Otaru.


From the Asari IC exit on the Sasson Expressway, turn right onto Prefecture Road 1 and then soon onto Prefecture Road 956 and continue on this road for just under 4km until reaching Route 393. Turn left onto Route 393 and continue on this road for about 17km until the turn off for Kiroro Snow Resort. Turn left at the signs to head up to the car parks.


Some people also visit from the Niseko area which is about 50km to the south west of Kiroro Snow World.


There is free parking for 1,900 vehicles close to the base of Kiroro Snow World.
