Tadami is a ski area located in Tadami Town in the western region of Fukushima Prefecture.
This local ski area calls itself the 'smallest ski area in Fukushima Prefecture'.
It has one pair lift (with a mid-station for alighting) and offers a 600m course from top to base. There are also various playing-in-the-snow activities for children.
While Tadami is close to the border with Niigata Prefecture, the connecting road is closed during the winter months. However, the Tadami line train line keeps access from Niigata open throughout the year.

Introduction to the region
Fukushima Prefecture is the southernmost prefecture of the Tohoku region of northern Japan. Fukushima Prefecture borders Miyagi Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture to the north, Niigata Prefecture to the west, Gunma Prefecture to the southwest, and Tochigi Prefecture and Ibaraki Prefecture to the south.
The majority of the ski areas in Fukushima Prefecture are in the northern region around Mt. Bandai and north of Lake Inawashiro (the fourth-largest lake in Japan), as well as in the western region of the prefecture.
Tadami is the only ski area currently operating in Tadami Town.
