Fukui Izumi is a ski area located in Ono City in the eastern region of Fukui Prefecture, close to the border with Gifu Prefecture.

This ski area is particularly popular with snowboarders. There is a large Doberman Park area, ungroomed powder areas and often relatively good snow conditions.


Fukui Izumi opened in 1990.

Normal season dates

Fukui Izumi usually plans to be open from mid-December until late March. See below for the actual opening and closing dates in recent seasons.


Normal opening hours

Fukui Izumi is normally open from 8:30am until 4:30pm on weekdays and from 8:00am until 4:30pm on Saturdays and holidays.


Night skiing

There is no night skiing at Fukui Izumi.


Park & ungroomed

The Doberman Park is located by Paradise A course off the quad lift and features various items. There are also a few ungroomed 'powder areas' towards the top of the mountain. The ski area asks that people do not enter those areas alone.


Families & children

The Kids Park is close in the base area.


Lessons

Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Fukui Izumi.


Rental

Ski and snowboard equipment & wear rental is available in the base building. Changing rooms and rest rooms are open 24 hours a day.
