Shinbo Family is a ski area located in Ikeda Town in the northern central region of Fukui Prefecture.
Shinbo Family has one 250m pair lift and one main ski course with, according to the official website, a maximum gradient of just 10 degrees.
Shinbo Family was closed for a few years due to COVID-19 but has been open again since the 2021-2022 season.
The ski area is usually open Mondays, Fridays, weekends and national holidays.

Normal opening times
Shinbo Family is normally open from 9:00am until 4:00pm on weekdays and until 5:00pm on weekends and holidays. Usually closed on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday.

Introduction to the region
Fukui Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the main island of Honshu.
It is surrounded by Ishikawa to the north, Gifu to the east, Shiga to the south and Kyoto to the southwest.
The ski areas in Fukui Prefecture are located in the northeastern region of the Prefecture.
Shinbo Family is the only ski area currently operating in Ikeda Town.
