SOL-FA Oda is a ski area located in Uchiko Town in  the central region of Ehime Prefecture.

The ski area is less than 35km east of central Uchiko Town and about an hour south of central Matsuyama City by road.


SOL-FA Oda has two pair lifts and boasts the longest course on the island (1,200m). Artificial snow-making machines assist with natural snowfall when required.


This ski area opened in 1974.


Ehime is one of four prefectures on Shikoku island in western Japan. Shikoku is the smallest of the four main islands of Japan.

SOL-FA Oda usually plans to be open from late December until mid-March. See below for the actual opening and closing dates in recent seasons.


Normal opening times

SOL-FA Oda is normally open from 9:00am until 4:30pm.


Night skiing

There is no night skiing at SOL-FA Oda.


Park

The Snowboard Course park area is located in the lower half of the ski area and features some items.


Families & children

There is a kids area near the base of the ski area.


Lessons

Ski and snowboard lessons are available at SOL-FA Oda.


Rental

Ski and snowboard equipment & wear rental is available.

Adult season tickets include free use of the car parks.


The morning ticket is valid from 9:00am until 1:00pm. The afternoon ticket is valid from 12:30pm until 4:30pm.


If using coupons, the longer lift requires two.

Introduction to the region

Ehime Prefecture is located in the northwestern part of the island of Shikoku in the southwestern region of Japan. Shikoku is the smallest of the four main islands of Japan and is the least populated.


Ehime Prefecture borders Kagawa Prefecture to the northeast, Tokushima Prefecture to the east, and Kōchi Prefecture to the southeast.


There are three ski areas currently operating in Ehime Prefecture.


SOL-FA Oda is the only ski area currently operating in Uchiko Town and one of only three in the prefecture.
